  • Components provide specific layout and functionality for displaying content on a panel page.
  • Components are inserted in the panes of panel pages which are landing pages or entry pages within a website.
  • Panel pages are suitable for:
    • broad and shallow overview
    • providing links to further detail captured in the content types such as basic pages, structured pages and articles amongst others.

The numbered information that follows applies to the image below.

  1. Background image
    The background image can be changed by adding a tint (dark or light). Ensure that there is sufficient contrast between the text and the image.  The web accessibility tool, Wave, can be used to check the contrast.
  2. Title
    It is recommended that the hero banner component on the home page should be the only one with a message.  The home page should not compete with other landing pages in the website
    The text in the hero banner component on other landing pages should be limited to one word where possible.
  3. Caption
    Attribute images where applicable to ensure compliance with the conditions of use associated with the image.
